Same thing happened to a friend of mine a couple of years ago. Scooby WRX on drive, Sunday afternoon, knock on door, answer door, forced entry, knife produced, keys handed over, car never seen again.

Crazy not locking your front door
 These herberts will come in and burgle your house whilst you stand there and watch or not Most are unlikely to do anything whilst one of them stands in front of you with an iron bar!
I would have locked gates on such a visible driveway... Hopefully the footage will have got them banged up for at least a few days but they were probably banned from driving for 6 months instead  There is no deterrent, especially if they are juniors. |

I am truly surprised at the advise given to people about hiding their keys etc that seems to be given by the police. I'd rather someone fished them through the letterbox than broke into and violated my home or worse threatened my family.
If someone steals my car thats fine, i'll be  off and then buy a new one. |
