Yep, near Hereford, although towing with the Freelander rather than the Defender. Darren

I normally stay on Caravan Club sites but im currently on a C&CC site with friends in Wales, and i can tell the difference immediately.
For starters the hardstanding pitch must have been made from mushy peas! Impossible to knock any awning pegs into it. Everyone else suffering the same, one caravan has already had its awning blow over the van ![]() ![]() |

Like the bunting Steve.
![]() ![]() C&CC sites seem to cater more to families as the rules are lighter than the CC. But for me I only use the CC as the standard is high no matter what site you go too and at £30 a night for the C&CC the CC is cheaper? Me and the missus only cost £24 a night at Culloden Moor CC site at Inverness. ![]() Brian. |

Got the full size Isabella for longer stays, and the Kampa porch for weekends. I do like the isabella though, in fact i sleep in it on an airbed usually. Missus sleeps in the van on the seating, our 5yr old lad on the bottom bunk, saves making the main bed up.
Will be reverting back to CC sites after this holiday, though im planning on getting a solar panel fitted to the roof so we can start using CLs without EHU. |

yep we only stay in CC sites or CC affiliated ones. Maybe we ought to be more adventurous but with small kids we have always found CC sites to be pretty much perfect - meticulously maintained, spotless facilities, professional dedicated wardens etc. In fact the Caravan Club is one of those rare organisations where standards - whether it be on site or their various member services are always 100%, thorough and reliable. Other firms could learn a lot from them in terms of consistant high standards
