1st time stuck in a Puma
well i have had it 10mths now and got stuck for the first time in it last Thursday whilst setting up a course for the interclub challenge we were running.

i had just been thinking to myself how good the TC was doing working away in the wet fields on a set of BFG tracedges and how good the tyres were when i misjudge one particular section.

i need to work out how to get the picture off my phone but it made me think how many private owners here use their Puma off road regualry (ie once every week or so) Cheers

I get out in mine at for at least a weekend every month Smile. Lots of owners think I am crazy for taking a 3 month old car off the beaten track Twisted Evil

If you knew JST very well you'd know that his PUMA has spent most of it's life at the dealers and his other 90 has been mothballed for the last couple. So it could prob be old stock that still has a decent amount of tread left.

Why?....... as long as they enjoy owning a Land Rover what does it matter, without the people who "just" use a Land Rover product on the road none of us would be driving them as they wouldn't exist. I hope this site doesn't follow some of the other 4x4 sites that sneer at people who only use there 4x4 on the road or for towing. Most people who use their 4x4 offroad (including me) mainly use them at play days and the odd green lane, they don't have a real need to own an offroad vehicle, they (like me) just choose to use it offroad. So I say welcome all, that way we are better off and have a better Forum.

I will agree with that Pete as I will now NEVER go back to a 'normal' car. I think I am too used to the high driving position, good grip and being able to really presuade people on the back roads to get out of my way Wink

Besides, who wants to be stuck in on a snowy day!!

Pete, i was only wondering on the no of private owners who go off road; i wasn't aware this was a sore subject. I for one coudlnt give two hoots if your puma has 29" alloys and 35515 tyres i am not fussed, i was just wondering, sorry to upset. Cheers
