Never heard of an fpr hissing. Do you have an associated. Leak?
Is the hissing from the fpr or could it be from the exhaust manifold? Only Alcohol Can Save me Now Nanocom Available in the North West |

I wonder if it is just air in the fuel being circulated around the head area?

honestly it sounds like a air leak and thats without the engine running
yes the exhaust manifold is blowing but as said the engine is not running when you can hear the noise is it common for the manifold studs to snap without it being tuned as the very front 2 were allready sheared off and the manifold was out by about 5 mm steve 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs 3.2 conversion DONE 238bhp and 707nm torque and thats just the start ;-P hybrid turbo in build -done ready to fit ashcroft atb in transfer box 6 speed auto in build |

I still think it is the sound of air in the fuel running around the FPR/Head/Cooler...
Take a closer look by running a purge cycle by pressing the throttle down 5 times with ignition on. Then try to track it down more closely. The fuel pressure is (or should be) at 4 bar so if there was a leak of any type, it would involve diesel leaking. |
