Well I've been given the blank look as if I was talking jiba jaba, they have however seen the error in their ways after telling me they didn't know about it but were soon shot down because it was all photographed three weeks ago
I think I cause more confusion when they started talking about booking it back in and I responded with I will only be driving my vehicle away when the work has been completed and as I'm away for the next week I'll be able to take their gaylander back in 10 days  Russell

Take it to Lookers Park Royal next time, I tried all of the other $tealers around the area and they are by far the best, and a site sponsor.

Well they did a deal for £12 for the original 2 weeks but I was not on the service bill when I originally went to go and pick it up, which I have not paid for yet  nor will be paying full price for  Russell

As it has been about 4 weeks since I dropped my defender in the garage I thought I'd give the
A call to see it it would be ready for the weekend! And the answer is yes but not everything on the list will have been done
However the rear step has been replaced  not sure why they did that, as it want on the list!
Me thinks enough is enough and it's time to get my defender to a reputable stealer! Ironic I know  Russell

Russ, as above what are the problems ?
I know a good dealer if it is bodywork etc

I don't want anything out of the ordinary!
It went in for the following: Service Water leaks in the back Lash down eyes in the back replaced due to corrosion from water leaks Load guard bottom bracket replaced (same as above) Bolsters on the uppers on both front seats has collapsed and need replacing (as you had done john) Windscreen surround reprinted due to paint bubbling Windscreen bracket bubbling and paint flaking off Rear carpet replaced because it smells from being constantly wet. And it's taken 4 weeks to do 90% of that. I will be taking the vehicle off them tomorrow and not paying much if anything for the service. Yupou would have thought that as it was a B service and it was booked into the body shop they would have thought to do any paint work found to be defective during the corrosion check  . Russell

Nothing unusual there.
Yeovil did my windscreen surround last year and it is fine. They would have replaced the windscreen brackets as well but I put Croytec anodized black ones on myself. They have sorted all my water leaks now and are pretty good at finding them. Just waiting to see if they will fit a new front passenger door due to an unexplained rattle which we all think is the door skin detached somewhere - I think it was there from build. Their body shop is good, in fact if they replace the door I am going to pay them to do some other spraying as well. They have never quibbled about doing something under warranty and have excelled themselves to help on more than one occasion. I suppose that I am lucky and work around the corner (with SWHMBO ) but they never fail to give me a vehicle if I need one.
Their spares dept. are profiting from me now as well with the 90 rebuild - they do have a knack of finding obscure bits that no other dealer can supply. I know it is a long way from you but you could talk to the service people and see if they can help - nothing lost with a phone call. I do find it odd because as we've spoken before John and I know that they had no issues doing most of the items on the list to your defender.
