You should not have any issues as long as you disconnect the battery first and wait for about a minute before disconnecting the ECU. Mine has been in an out of the car half a dozen times now.
Don't forget to check your radio code before disconnecting! Land Rovers are an addiction. Toyotas are for quitters. WWW.CQLROC.ORG |

I know Devon 4x4 do an extention: http://www.devon4x4.com/products_a/p1755c2...nsion.html
As above, all you need to do is disconect the battery for a little while first. Glyn |

Thanks guys,
First I want to see how high I can get it in the Cubby box/ bulkhead direction. I don't know yet how I will want to have my roof yet. It's now a sheep farmer's pick-up with the Ifor Williams canopy on the back. I kind off like that as you don't see them this way in The Netherlands. On the otherside a hard top with windows is more practical but that is the standard here. I would like to drive it as a softtop in the summer but not in the winter. So I would like to have the ECU as high as possible but I don't know how high yet. Found this on the PPcages website - looks like they did a pretty good job when they moved the ecu:

That's were I wanted to mount it too. The 90's color is correct too. I just don't like the seat holders. Roel

The one advantage of mounting it there is that there is little chance of the oil seeping down the loom getting into the ecu - it will probably just leave a puddle on the seatbox instead!
I intend moving mine to the same spot when I finally get rid of the centre seat. Tom |

You can fit it there with the standard wireloom, you just need to extent the cables to the transfer box for the High/low sensor and the difflock sensor.
That project is almost finished just need a new ECU as mine has had swimming lessons and clearly didn't make it. cubby box or similar height gets my vote, if its in the roof and you go over - its at lowest point then! Cheers
