Yeah, that is about right, mine does the same.

I must admit that I haven't had any temperature related speed issues in mine.... Mapped, filter and exhaust. It has been a constant high 20's for the past few weeks with nothing wrong.

I think the problem may have been the engine blanket combined with 32 degrees... it was red hot under there when I took it off Sad Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

M Td5 does the same roar after being on the motorway, say at a roundabout just off it etc...

Also I have had it a few times just as I pull away first thing in the morning. Not happened very often, but only for a few secs. Current:D4 HSE

I had the same problem with my TD5 in 30+ Degs, particularly loss of power going up hills.
It would struggle for a while and be OK, especially if I turned the Aircon off.
Never got to the bottom it, because the weather got cooler Very Happy

Here in RSA we have a constant "struggle" with this exact problem.

Esp in summer when temps are constantly 30-35degC.

We have done a LOT of tests and all it came down to was the increased manifold intake temp measured by the MAP.

Only fix is silicone turbo hoses and larger intercooler.

Engine temp have no influence.........

It may also be worth to keep this in mind, as experienced by another Puma owner:

the resultant effect is that the MAP sensor starts failing and suddenly it feels like it is in limp mode. it starts off as an irritating intermittent issue but soon develops in a seriously annoying permanent issue.
remove the MAP sensor, clean with carb or electrical cleaner and refit.
it would be adviseable to keep a spare in the cubby.
it may be wise to remove intercooler and hoses, flush properly and refit.
this will at least buy time before the next round

Took out my MAP this morning and it's covered in sh*tty black oil Shocked

Should I clean with diesel, petrol, nitrose thinners, or anything else I don't have to buy?

Carburator cleaner or 99% medical alcohol.

I have absolutely no problems with my 2009 Tdci in anything unto 55C still does 160kph all day long, well till the fuel runs out anyway... lol It does have an uprated intercooler, hoses and chip though
