So.... driving home, engine management light on, wouldn't do more than 60mph on motorway.
Thought to myself "wonder if it limits speed when EML is on". Anyway, top speed started to be less and less. By the time I was back I couldn't break 30mph. And, when I accelerated there was one hell of a "whoooosh" kinda noise. First thought was intercooler pipe or similar. So, bonnet up and sure enough the jubilee clip on the hose under the turbo was loose and the pipe had slipped off. 15 minutes (let it cool a bit first) or so later all sorted. EML went out after 3 cycles of engine. The "time to go home" buzzer at Lode Lane must have sounded as Albert or whoever he was was half concentrating on screwing it on, dreaming of a life outside of the Midlands. Or maybe he was thinking "who was the great designer who designed the front of the Evoque and why did they get his grandson to do the rear?". So, all ok now and I never stopped loving it C 2015 110 USW XS in Santorini with premium contrast leather seats in tan/black, black headlining and with Dual Finish alloys (in the garage, now on Wolf rims with Goodyear MT/Rs) 2012 '62' 2.2 X-Tech 110 USW now gone ... 1984 90 soft top with full roll cage, 200 tdi engine etc now sold 2012 USW XS 2.2 "FUU" now gone.... |

when I picked mine up, i took a few hours looking over it underneath and in the engine bay popping the clips on (ie not BACK on) and checking hoses .. well worth doing before you make it all sticky with rust proofing

Happened to me as well the other day .... No big deal, though ... Seems to be a "popular" problem ... Heard the same from several other MY12 owners recently ... Best Regards, Axel |

I have exactly the same one and have to confess that, not wanting to tempt fate, that this has been the most reliable Landy that I have had.
Click image to enlarge It's now 2 months old, done 3,500 miles and its not been back to the dealers which is a first for me and a Land Rover. I think that the new engine is an improvement on my last 2.4, being a bit more refined, especially on the motorway. It certainly appears to tow as well as the last one even when loaded upto 3.5t. I don't think you will be disappointed. DMAKX |

I`ve just been told by the Land Rover Assist guy who refitted the turbo pipe that there is a modified pipe going to be available very shortly and that I should contact my dealer to arrange to have it fitted.
I hope thay have made enough pipes for everyone!!!!!! Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly! |

All good things come to an end and I have now sold FUU to a local chap. It's off how these things happen. I saw T7mbo's advert for his X-Tech http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic19099.html a few weeks after he posted it. That night I took son to cricket practice and one of the other dads asked to look around mine because it was just what he was looking for. After a little bit of scheduling around holidays and working away my black 110 USW ("FUU") now has a new owner. 2015 110 USW XS in Santorini with premium contrast leather seats in tan/black, black headlining and with Dual Finish alloys (in the garage, now on Wolf rims with Goodyear MT/Rs)
2012 '62' 2.2 X-Tech 110 USW now gone ... 1984 90 soft top with full roll cage, 200 tdi engine etc now sold 2012 USW XS 2.2 "FUU" now gone.... |
