Hi I have finally found the time to join the forum. I have a 110 XS CSW in Rimini Red. Its been named Chelsea by others, how dare they but it looks like her name is here to stay.
As you can see from the pictures ‘Chelsea’ in undergoing some surgery. We have removed the ugly original tyres, although they are very good off road they just look awful. At the moment she is sat on 19” D3 wheels with MTR’s, next week she will be wearing 18” Mach 5’s with Cooper STT’s My gallery is here https://www.defender2.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=41 Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Hi there and welcome, nice truck although I'm not convinced about the wheels - I assume you've had to use adapters?

Yep got them from Forgetec £285 plus Vat.
However my 18" Mach5's are back from the powder coaters so I will be fitting them tomorrow. It sits too low with the D3 wheels and tyres. Although the D3 wheels have greatly improved the handling it goes round corners like its on rails, and with the lower gearing of the slightly smaller diameter tyres it really picks its feet up |

the motor was completly shafted, ordered a new one and just needs fitting by someone with a brain. i've also aquired another winch for the rear, just in case
how are your up-grades coming along? think we may as well hi-jack this thread instead of starting another |

Thats bad that the motor gave up so easily At least the motor is an easy fix compared to the reduction box Most of my mods are nearly done now, the winch and D44 bumper are on but not wired yet i`ve also fitted Equipe 4x4 rear corner protectors. I bought a patriot roofrack from Devon 4x4 that is one mass of meccano to put together and also 4 lightforce spots.
Tried fitting my gypo chimney but it was moulded wrong so that is being sent back to the didy camp for another Also have 2No QT services diff guards to fit. Just need to go and have a good play sometime |
