What wheels again!
I know, this topic has been done to death..................................but I'm 3 months down the line and still haven't been able to decide.

Zu - Mach 5 - Dakar - X Tech - Blindo - JE Engineering

AAaaaaaaargh!

I want 'understated', but I want 'purpose'. You know the sort of thing...............a wheel that you'd be proud to take up Mel Fell Very Happy

Currently swaying towards anthracite Blindo, but am concerned thatbI will spend another 3 months being a girly an making no decision (no offence to girly's).

Anyone with strong opinions? This is border country and the Romans built a wall for a reason!

in my opinion the zu's and x tech rims are the best on there but with the right tyres if you go chunky say 285/75 then go for them rims if your going for a smaller tyre size go for the je engineering ones as they look perfect on a all terrain tyre not keen on the blindo's they look like plastic same as the dakar why not stick a set of 20's Whistle on it Thumbs Up

Yak shemesh, Killer

20's are for dope dealers aren't they? and the only dope dealers up my way are the one's peddling New Zealand lamb.

I have new 235 BFG AT rubber, so I take your vote to be JE. Nice one This is border country and the Romans built a wall for a reason!

Factory steelies or mach 5 only way to go. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

mach 5s dont work well on a 110 with std arches in my experience, running 33" tyres they catch on full bump and compression. Cheers

If it is just in the list above I would say the Blindos or Dakars......

But to throw another in there:

TX alloys... same strength as the Blindos (Which apparently is the strongest alloy on the market).

If we order 25 or more wheels I can buy directly from the Arcasting (30km far from my house)

I do not know the price yet but are we interested?

Glynparry, where can you get the TX's from, I've searched all over the place and can't find them. Also what tire width have you got on there?

Cheers

I got mine from Jon at Venture Overland- but unfortunatly he went for a 6 week trip to Australia with his Defender and now decided to stay there for 2 years.

I only found a few places that did them. Best bet would be to ask some of the Aussie members on the forum as the wheels are made there and are widely available there- just depends on how cheap they get them and how much shipping would be.

and the tires are 285s (sit in the arches just right with no scrub on full articulation.
