Funny but I was discussing intercoolers with a guy who has a couple of businesses one of which is land rover related. He has a 130 that he put a VTN trubo on and I was having a look and noticed his huge intercooler on the front. I asked who his supplier was and he said it was a well know and respected sports performance company that specialise in big japanese cars. I asked how much and when he told me I nearly fell over. Less than one third of the price of some I have sen for sale that go on a Defender, and they were warranted and not Chinese rubbish. At first I did not beleave him but I googled it when I got home and looked on eblag and he was right Shocked Shocked Of course there may be a logical reason why this is and I don't mind paying a bit more for quality but there difference is so big.

The actual powergate module shown can be yours for £190 retail. A business buying more volume will get them for a lot less than that. As to the remap file itself? I would think it is a generic file available to all tuning companies as a buy it off the shelf option and not a specialised tune based on your vehicles software and what you want out of remap file. The site sponsors who offer tuning services like Alive tuning, do an individual remap file for your needs and no two files will be the same unlike the generic remap files offered by most non manufacturer specific vehicle tuners which will all have the same generic file.

At the end of the day who would you rather have tune your 30K+ vehicle? For me it was a trusted LR specialist, namely Alive Tuning!!
