Weel yesterday afternnon there was an enormous rain storm, but funny enough the Defender didn't have a drop in it!!
So the question I have is, where does water get in while one is driving and not get in while the vehicle is not moving? I have the water ingress pdf ( thanks Sasha!) to check. Wind pressure causes water to travel in different directions when driving - ie. sometimes up! We have a windscreen leak that only occurs when driving over 100km/h. The wind pressure must deform the screen just enough to open a minute gap somewhere. The dealer can't replicate the leak even with a fire hose. 2007 Defender 110

Or could it be through the heater matrix? If you've got the heating/air con on when driving it'll suck water through from the vent on the top of the wing. When stationary, this'll drain out through the drain hole.
Also, as above: the vortices created by a moving defender are quite something. Raindrops travel clockwise (from outside) round my driver's window when I'm moving - it looks quite funny to see them heading in the opposite direction to the one we're traveling in. Mine used to leak through the front windscreen seal but the dealer replaced it as a matter of course when I reported the leak. I've not had anything leak when standing still since (used to collect on the passenger mat) One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS
