So, off on tuesday to get the 110 in for the 12000 km service. I have a bit of an oil leak under the hood that I have noticed as well to get looked at. Being the first new vehicle that I have bought, and understanding that the 110 comes with a 3 year 100000km warranty I would like to know if the servicing (oil changes ect) is covered. I am sure that I have the papers for it, but it is in German and it is a bit easier to ask others experiences.
Thanks for the info. Think I answered my own question, but I am open for advice 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately) IN the hunt for another Puma for the wifey! 2008 Kia Sorento LX 😠2.5crdi |

Oil change isn't covered by the warranty. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

Turbojohnny.. I also live in Switzerland, and have just gone threw some crap with the warranty.. had a problem last Sunday coming back from vacation in my new Puma, and called LR Service, who by the way are Great! They got one the ball ASAP picked up my LR delivered it to a Dealer and got me a replacement car fro two days.. I had problems not with them but the dealer.. it wasn't the dealer I bought it from, so they DIDN'T want to help me.. after many phone calls with LR Service etc.. they got the dealer busy, ordered the part from the UK, and as of yesterday it's fixed.. I will pick it up tonight.. The dealers here in Switzerland are some of the worst.. they don't do anything they don't want too do. They refused to give me a car to drive while mine was being repaired.. and they tried to get me to go somewhere else to have the work done..
But as for the service.. My second is coming up soon, and my first went well. as for oil change, not sure.. but even our brake pads are under warranty.. RB 2008 110 2.4 tdci csw Landrovers of Switzerland Club member |

If the warranty work requires fluids it is covered - otherwise not. Mike

I am having it done at Neidhart in Staefa. I brought it to them to get the abgaspruf done for registration and the owner seems like a nice guy...we'll see when it comes time for servicing How about you? 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately) IN the hunt for another Puma for the wifey! 2008 Kia Sorento LX 😠2.5crdi |

One would think that the dealers here should be top notch like almost everything else in this country. If all else fails, I will go with the LR service to light a fire under them, but I have a feeling that it should be fine...could be blind faith on my part however. 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately) IN the hunt for another Puma for the wifey! 2008 Kia Sorento LX 😠2.5crdi |

@Johnnyturbo 2002.
Neidhard seems to be a decent address. I grew up in the neighboring town and always liked their cars in the showroom as young boy. Don't know about their service quality, though. In this area (Hinwil) are also two pure Defender/Series experts (Bösch / Overland). I had my rust prevention stuff done at Bösch. The old boss is kind of strange, but otherwise they seem to be good. Will never forget the day when I picked up the car. He asked me whether I bought it at their place. When I told him that I bought it at EF, he freaked out saying that they get only the dirty work. My answer was polite. I wanted but they didn't want to trade in the Merc. Bought my at EF ZH Nord. Nice salesperson, made me a good trade in offer for my Merc but he forgets that you exist once you signed the contract. He recommended my EF Altstetten for services and repairs (as they know what their doing). I'd better not write about my experience with them, would be against any forum rule and I would end up having a heart attack. My 07/08 model is going back and MY10 model is about to be delivered soon. Changed dealership and service points. It's now with Huber Premium and so far I have a very good impression. Smaller firm whose employees know exactly who pays their salaries. Let's wait and see how the MY10 performs.. Cheers George The goons are trying to bring me down! Thanks for the info, I live in Homberchtikon, so Neidhard is close and it seems that he's a decent chap. I'll put more info in tomorrow when I go see him in the am. sorry to hear about your lousy experience on the 07... my 08( hopefully) will stay with me for the next 20 years or so...bought it in Germany because I couldn't get the version here. (60th but with out the SVX package...Full leather, heated seats and all the bells and whistles) Another reason that I am headed to Stafa is becasue my Zurideutch is non existent and my hoch deutsch is almost as bad, so I need a bit of english to get by.
