Looking at Wheels
Hi All,

The standard tyres on the 110 are very road biased so I'm looking at getting a second set for a bit grip off-road, prob AT rather than MT as they'll prob stay on 90% of the time.

Anyway the question is about the rims - I've pretty much decided on which to get but my shortlist is down to either Zu or Silverline.

First pic is Zu (pinched from another post here - thanks)

and the second is the Silverline

Your thoughts please.

I'm also going to stick a rear recovery point and some jate rings on.

I think the preditors are better than the Silverline.

Whats the spec on the Silverline Question The ZU's are rated to 1400

These may help you make your mind up

I have 2 pairs of Mack 5's nether of which i have measured to find the offset etc,

They obviously fit to the hub, but due to a greater offset than standard, they would rub the arches both front and rear on articulation !! California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

Is that so? Is there a difference to TD5s then as I know people who run Zus on TD5 Defenders.

I'm begining to wonder if I should should just stick some better tyres on the standard Boost alloys.

John

Can not see how their is any difference to TD5 !! The Zu's must have less offset, than my mack's, they look like they are less !!

I think the pics above of AndrewS's 110 has had a suspension lift added,
I when for another set of boost's with the popular 255/85x16 size BFG Mt's California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

That may explain it - I know that Zus come in one offset that is 'within UK MOT regs' or some such wording.

IIRC one of the guys on here has them on his 90 with standard suspension and hasn't mentioned fouling.

The Zu's will fit and are OK with standard suspension. We will be fitting 18" Mach 5's to our other 07 110
