Added this to my collection today:

The plan is to put a 200Tdi in it (have a Defender one sat in my garage doing not a lot...hence this purchase), use it for the summer and then sell it on come the autumn. Not really looking to profit massively, more to cover my costs and basically give myself a summer's worth of 110 driving for free/cheap.

Coming back today. it gives a nice drive. Being a 110 with station wagon suspension it's nice and comfy compared to my hard-top 90, but the 2.5Td engine isn't up to much Razz

looks like today ... all that rain ...

Nice coloured truck Retro ... looks like a good plan for the summer. I agree, 110s are a little easier on the spine than 90s Thumbs Up

Looks tidy for a G reg hope it's as tidy underneath!!
Should keep you busy for a night or two doing the conversion.
You'll soon need a hanger to park them all in!

Yes, peed down all day today. At least I know the wipers work!

It's very straight, very original, and it's pretty good underneath. Plenty of surface rust and I suspect I might treat it to a new rear crossmember for tidiness' sake, but it's nothing some wire-brushes, paint and judicial application of the hot metal glue gun can't sort out.

A hangar would be nice Smile

Indeed, though only three are on the road. You are probably right, it is an obsession. Still, got to spend your money on something - it's certainly not doing any good in the bank at the moment!

Just pushed my finger through the offside bulkhead outrigger, so it's not quite a solid under there as I thought. But that can be fixed for not a huge outlay so it's not a major issue.

Always makes me smile how much an MOT really isn't worth the paper that it's not even written on any more!

On the S2 club forum, this is known as CLRPD, Compulsory Land Rover Purchase Disorder. Lots of sufferers but no known cure. 1970 Series 2A 88"
