A small amount of glue might help but why not try just tightening up the rivnuts. No need for a special tool for three of. Just have a read HERE

hexagon rivnuts is what i use to stop this ever being an issue, they can be used to great affect on a round hole if you drill it slightly smaller than needed (about 0.75mm smaller) and then tap in gently with a small hammer before crimping.

You can get a new type of rivnut now called a rawlnut which is a rubber rivnut, it will expand to any shape hole and is reusable. All my light guard rivnuts where spinning. It was a nightmare to drill them out, bit of grease this time on the screws and the new rubber rivets has worked a treat! Couldn't recomend them enough!!

I brought one of these along with a couple of boxes of the alu rivet nuts but when they arrived there supplier had sent steel ones so rang to say needed alu ones to stop reaction between body work and nut and they sent replacement alu ones and said keep others as cost of sending back wasn't worth it
Brilliant bit of kit don't know how I have survived without one all these years It's good to be back from the dark side DC110 -2012 Black with black hood and black x-tech FFRR 4.2 vogue Renault traffic auto PT crusier convertible Laika x700 Motorhome |
