Shows.
A little topic that I would like to discuss - the up and coming "show" season.

Drifting my mind back to last year I remember a tirade of comments post shows that people were disappointed for one reason or another.

So what makes a show for you?

Trade stands?

I think we can all agree that the age o the show bargin are long gone. With the advent of eBay and forums such as these. Supplier have a far greater reach into the market place. An eBay add costs pence and will be seen by customers nationally and even internationally. So why spend thousands attending a show that only a fraction of the potential customers wil visit?

Camping?

Arena shows?

i think its just a get together, something to do its silly when you look at it on the actually scale of spending it costs us atleast £150 before were even there food drink and fuel get through atleast £250 with drink there, lunch etc then buying stuff well that £250 would have payed for the item i wanted online Rolling with laughter but thats no fun thats my way at looking at a show, they are slowly dieing out though i noticed last year they were quite best ones are billing and peterborugh the london to brighton run is a good crack aswell Thumbs Up

But if there's something you want to examine, and look and feel before you buy...you can do it in one place???

For instance, I would like to have a side-by-side look at the Nakatanenga & Safari Equip Swing-Aways...

Also MrsK & I are looking for new Leather/Heated seats for the Defender - and again - we would like to sit-in and try a few options before parting with the cash...I'm hoping the Shows can allow us to do this (I know one vendor is bringing a couple of Defenders with different aftermarket seats installed)... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Both of the above .....

The 'craic' and camp out with your club and like minded mates [old and new] is the main draw for me, cant beat it Cool

Plus its great to be able to look around hundreds of Landies for ideas or view items 'in the flesh'

Trade stands are good as is an arena ... but both are side events for me ... Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

It's like anything, you make it of it want you want. It's starts with camping out with good company and the rest is a bonus Thumbs Up
