Fitted the basket today and finished the water system. worked out where I want the cargo tracking to go and then it rained! I did nothing, but after being out of the country for nearly a whole month including 40 hours in the air, it was sure nice to get home and actually see it!

This morning I filled the tank.... and revealed that a week of fully loaded truck (4 people and kit) and driving uneconomically (off road or 80-90mph). The old gal has returned 28.81mpg. So I decided she deserved a wash.
This afternoon started at 1330, with a wash. Then I thought I could do with sorting a couple of things out. So drove her into the workshop where I though 'I might as well give her a quick wax'- Lets just say I finished at 1700 and I have waxed only the front half. I ended up paying attention too detail, which includes the roo-bar, roll cage, RAI and engine bay. I am knackered!!! She does look AWESOME now though! Glyn (VERY VERY HAPPY DEFENDER OWNER) |

Today my defender helped carry some fencing repair supplies on the farm. In return I fitted the bottom hinge bolt mod to keep the doors on properly. Next we have to go to Asda, boo hiss. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon.

I have no idea.... The truck is 2350Kg with no passengers (full tank). So I would have been running about 2700-2800 Kg all week. Also the 285 BFG M/T and the full external roll cage probably don't help matters. But I do have ITg filter, full Alive exhaust and running Gary's latest map...... at 80mph I am only pushing the accelerator pedal down about an inch as there is so much available power (engine is prob only running about 20% capacity to do that speed). I was expecting to get figures in the low 20s never mind nearly 30. Glyn |

On both the last 110 2.4's I would expect about 22-23 with the 285 & RAI but without roof rack and with the tune in (not alive) it would be down to 20-21 if not lower. I am soon to get rid of the cat and a new exhaust so that may help. Have you got a RAI? Boy |
