Worth checking out mashable.com , search Trojan and read the Christina Warren piece on how to check if you're affected.

Just means they have become popular enough that someone thinks it's worth writing a virus for them... Laughing

Mac Virus and Trojan attacks have been around almost as long as Macs, not even close to being the "first Mac Virus". I have a box full of floppy disks in the loft that contain examples of early Mac virus infections dating back to the 80's.

If you're worried about this particular one then select "Software Update" under the Apple menu and install any updates available. Assuming you're running Snow Leopard or later the security and Java updates fix the vulnerability.

Still smug probably because I am a born again mac user. My first one was over 20 years ago. I did go over to the dark side fr a while but the mac is always my first choice even though I have a work laptop.
Three here plus assorted iPhone iPad bits and bobs.
Have even sort of converted Brendan. He doesn't refer to it as a pc anymore and has stopped asking what's that software like word called.
