CD Player Error Code E82

I 've had a look through the forum and get the general vibe that the standard radio is

(not to good). My radio works fine but the CD player shows the error code E82 and doesn't recognise CD's.
In short does anyone know what this means, can it be fixed or is it bin time!

I have a standard LR player if you need one.

Mine has swallowed the cd but won't give it back - won't eject. Its fitted in the vertical position in an aftermarket centre cubby box. I do not have the correct tools to remove the stereo - is their an alternative method of removing the stereo unit, and can anyone recommend one that - 1. Does not jump (not good off road if it does) 2. will work vetically, and 3. maybe doesn't have a CD player.
