They are available with 55 watt halogens for an extra £60 or so, but to fit ones own being 5mm steel would be much too labour intesive and time consuming for me with the drilling, cutting and filing, also in mitigation with the Lightforces and recent JW Speakers I've sufficient lighting requirements for my needs. So by your reckoning I can get a fully galvanised bumper for £29.52? I'll take a 100, good profit margin there for me! As to the rest of your delightful post, the defender is just one of my cars and not my main mode of transport, and yes it is just a car. The rust, if it was 24 years old like yours then I would not be bothered but as it is 2 and a bit and cost 30K I'll replace the bumper under warranty every time it starts to rust because I can and when it needs replacing again out of warranty I'll look elsewhere for a replacement bumper like this one from Entreq. I couldn't remember if I had read any of your posts before? but a quick search soon revealed this, http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic11266.html now I understand your above comments. |

I did just that! Swapped my bumper out under warranty as the paint was flaking off in sheets on the underside then out of warranty sought something more resilient and fit for purpose. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
