I assume you already tried warm water?
Brake fluid is actually water soluble .... thats why you're 'supposed' to replace it in your braking system every few years ... Worth a go before you hit your wallet Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

I tend to use Carb Cleaner to degrease stuff, that may help. I have used it on our carpet to remove my careless daughters make-up and it worked well

I use something called Urad for cleaning leather, it used to make horse tack look like new and didn't need as much elbow grease as saddle soap. It probably costs about a tenner but lasts forever and works a treat on leather sofas too.
