We went to Tunisia last month, all went well until Leon when the vacuum pump oil seal let go and pumped oil everywhere. Unable to get it fixed in a dealership in time to catch ferry so my dealership located a pump in Yorkshire and TNT'd it to Marseilles for a before 9.00am delivery on the day we had to be in the docks 2 hours before sailing, 11.00am. It arrived and we went into the queue for the ferry. Bonnet up and we, me and Ed Cobley changed the pump, about 30 minutes, and off to Tunis. The 110 went like a dream for the whole trip, it pulls forever in the sand. Back in UK and just outside Yeovil pulled in for fuel, and it would not start. LR assist came out computer in hand and diagnosed immobiliser failure so onto a lorry and back to Cornwall. New immobiliser fitted and all seems ok.
The pump failure also happened to Vince and Ed in Morocco last October so I personally will not be leaving the UK without a spare in the back.][/img] Whats broken now ? |
