Supposed fuel shortage!
I was working in old street London today and while sat outside at lunch me and the people i was with noticed a bit of a cuffufl at the shell garage across the road.

I then sat on the train home reading the evening standard and I see there was a bit in there about the shell garage on old street. Apparently it was mass panic buying and they had to impose a £20 limit and they are running very low as their scheduled delivery hadn't turned up!

Looks like the country is gonna go made with the treat of a slight delay in fuel deliveries Twisted Evil Russell

Fuel delivery Strike!

Heard it on the radio, they even said it's a good idea to fill up and fill up a jerry can at the same time and keep it in your garage Shocked Rolling Eyes

So are fuel prices as a consequence of that going further up in the UK?

They will be to pay for the extra pay, holiday and less hours the tanker drivers want.

I remember when they threatened this a year or 2 ago and it was released that tanker drivers get paid somewhere between £50,000 & £70,000 a year. But that is not enough for the dangerous job they do Rolling with laughter

Hell that a lot more than most house hold incomes in the UK!

I think London tube drivers get about £50,000 a year and they say that an offer of £800 to work during the Olympics Shocked Russell

Can we just be clear that as present there is NO strike planned. So people panic buying are just leading to more panic buying which the media loves because its a headline. Bloody stupid. Fill up if you need to, but that's it.

Blimey Embarassed That seems an awful lot! I employ 26 tanker drivers and they dont get paid anywhere near that!
ps: It only becomes a dangerous job when the idiot behind the wheel cocks up Evil or Very Mad
