My TD5 goes for its MOT tomorrow. The rear shockers had worn bushes, so I got a pair of Monroe HD gas shocks. Fitted them today and the car is transformed.
It was really bumpy, with a fairly constant thumping noise from the rear. Now its firm, but smooth with no knocks or thumps. They were a bit of a wrestle to fit though. They are spring assisted and it took all my strength to compress them enough to get the bottom mount into the hole. My only complaint - they are yellow which I don't like. Spraying them black tomorrow. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy |

Suspect the improvement is down to the new bushes as opposed to the new shocks to be honest.

Maybe, but when off the vehicle the originals were very easy to extend/retract by hand. The new ones are very hard in comparison. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV
