Just got my mechanic to order some new belts and a rocker gasket, But he seems to think they are the wrong ones, and needs the reg no to order the parts.
And as this engine had been retro fitted I have no idea of the reg of the vehicle it came from. Is there a way round this? Surely a 200tdi is a 200tdi? You cant polish a turd! Most likely its from a disco so may well be different in some aspects (bit more power I believe as well )
Mine has a disco one and have the same issues when parts are required. DJ 1989 200tdi 90 csw 2011 110 usw Orkney grey Buy British 🇬🇧 Defender Clothing Designs available at http://www.rangesports.com/acatalog/Defender-Stuff.html |

Just to add to the confusion.... I once saw a (genuine!) serpentine belt on a 200Tdi.... a factory one, not some cobbled together thing. must have been right at the end of the 200 production prior to 300, or maybe some test mule thing that got away.
