Works in all gears (there's no switches on the main box, so the ECU wouldn't know what gear you're in) but it seems to be best in 1st and 2nd in high range. in low its pretty good in all gears.
Yes, if you touch the throttle it cancels it. |

You let the clutch up and (within reason) it doesn't stall. The engine speed is managed by the electrickery as long as you don't touch the accelerator. Darren

Also comes in when in gear and accelerator is eased of then left alone. |

Tried it this afternoon whilst I was out, took my foot off the accelerator while in third (high), engine started to struggle for a moment then the revs picked up and it carried on driving forward.

It is pretty good, on the whole. It's not as sophisticated as the system on the Pumas, but it is nice in traffic, for instance.

I remember showing that clip to a mate of mine before I got the Defender. He's a proper die hard fan of Nissan Navaras ![]() It was the same chap who was bragging about how his other halfs Quashqai 4x4 was better than a Defender in the snow a couple of winters ago. Only for him to get it stuck just round the corner... I just cruised past laughing and flicked the V's at him as I went past ![]() I've never used anti stall in a proper offroad situation. But for tootling along a rutted farm track in low first it's awesome. |

1 in 2 greasy chalk bank with BFG ATs. 3 on board. started, enaged low 1st and let the anti-stall take us all the way up.
