United Arab Emirates 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Fuji White
Rolling with laughter when I was visiting family in the uk, took a cab home from the bar, was slightly tipsy Whistle made the driver drive up and down the road twice to see which house it was he got worried when I didn't know the house number. Paid my fare got out then placed my wallet, phone and my belongings in the middle of the road and walked home. They were still there 2 hours later Laughing 2012 Fuji White 110 Flattened

Thanks for all the contributions. Made me feel a bit better Thumbs Up

@richuk - I probably would have slept through and missed half of it anyway (at least half!).

PS if you watch the HK 7's on the tv then look out for 2 big ugly blokes in England shirts - they will be in the crowd - you can't miss 'em Rolling with laughter 2011 Defender 90 SW

Hong Kong, Bangkok, KL, Jakarta, Pnom Penh, Saigon, Rangoon. I have worked in them all. I am sorry to say that there are loads of British scum in a lot of these places. I can imagine some of the Pattaya mob going to Hong Kong at sevens time just to prey on new arrivals.
Currently the drugged-drink operators in Jakarta are Germans or Swiss.
I have had travellers cheques and phones stolen but nothing serious.
When you get to a new city, find out which cab company is best. Pay extra for a limo and if the driver is self-employed, get his phone number. Get the hotel or restaurant to supply the taxi.
Watch out for the "one for the road" especially if you never saw it being poured or if it is a mixed drink or fruit juice.
Having said that, I have had some great times in all these places! 2009 110 SVX 60th Anniversary - Santorini Black

That's some run of bad luck. Still look on the bright side, I doubt you will ever get kidnapped Smile

reminds me of this:

This is serious. Please BEWARE!

Earlier this week I became a victim of a clever 'Eastern European' scam while out shopping. Simply dropping into Tesco for a bit of shopping has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends.

Here's how the scam works: Two seriously good looking 20-21 year old girls come over to your car as you are packing your shopping into the boot. They start cleaning your windscreen. Their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It's impossible not to look, especially with all the rain we have been having.

When you thank them and offer them a tip, they'll say "No" and instead ask you for a lift to another store, in my case Sainsbury in the next town. You agree and they get in the backseat. On the way, they start undressing. Then, when you pull over to remonstrate, one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had mine stolen on October 3rd, 4th, twice on the 5th, 6th, 7th and three times yesterday and very likely again today.

SO BE WARNED!

P.S. Tesco have wallets on sale for £2!

I think I must have been about 17years ago, there was a big building with a sticky up thing on the top, big slabs in the garden, a vicar and a very strange woman dressed in the same colour as my washing machine Shocked Funnily enough it was on this very day in March and the weather was the same then Cool
