killer, an amp would be good to help overcome the engine/road noise. Does this mean I need an amp connection? Would blutooth be useful to stream music from my phone?

Front removable fascia is good for security yes. Bluetooth is good yes, But unless you really do know you'll use it not needed specially. The majority have USB now and some aux sockets too. Ipod compatibility is good but depends if you have an ipod or not or just mp3 player? Here's mine (although DVD player too)

I think you can stream music by bluetooth with some but not all are compatable I doubt. Amp wise you can either set up and amp and sub yourself but an easier option maybe something like this an active sub: http://www.justkenwood.co.uk/car-audio.aspx/ksc-sw01-speaker @killer cassette Ain't you got no 1980's ones? |

my neighbour kindly brought some cassettes over for me i thought he was joking but no he was serious and yer most radios now have a plug in for the amp just make sure its nice to have a good sound system clearer not something that makes boom boom sounds

kona, do you find you just use the screen for watching dvd's or can it serve other purposes such as rear view camera etc?

You can buy a rear view camera yes I haven't got one myself. Triggers automatically when reverse is selected when wired in correctly. There is also sat nav available too however I personally have a garmin nuvi 1300T as it's cheaper and also all the add ons take up a bit of room and in a 90 that's difficult tom find! I'm seriously considering an active sub though. |

It also controls an ipod directly though the head unit itself and can play both mp3 and itunes files. Including audio books videos and so on. Also freeview is available. Pic when closed:

Im tempted already So would it also play music from other 'non iphone' phones such as my Galaxy S2? Your unit would work well with one of these headrests http://www.car-vision.co.uk/858-land-rover-dvd-headrests
killer, where have you placed the speakers in your 90? |
