Agreed.
But it's important people know it can come off since as you know Brendan, lots of people prefer to look at their vehicles than actually use them for the intended purpose  (that's certainly not aimed at you by the way) |

Mike, as you know we do use our vehicles as intended! None of our vehicles are show vehicles, saying that the main dealers did wash the black 110 last friday
Also as you know we like people to know the pros and cons, good and bad points of any piece of gear we sell! Brendan |

I made my own, 316 marine grade stainless steel then powder coated. Lots of the race yachts are doing this now.

Looks a nice job Yobbie but leaves the vulnerable rear quarter panel still exposed to damage from stepping off rocks etc
Photo below is NOT a Safarie Equip rear bumperette but a cheaper version. As the bumperette is too close to the rear cross member it had to be modifired , i.e. a chunk cut out which weakened it. Stepped off a rock and bent the modifired bumperette scoop up into the bodwork. Note the scrape on paint work from where the scoop of the bumperette was bent upwards. Just to say I bought my bumperetttes off t'Bay for about 40-50 quid, very good condition although not good enough for me. Rounded off all the square edges with a grinder and sprayed them with several coats of Smoothrite, easy to touch up

Pete, sorry no, will not fit with NAS step due to some of the same holes required by both the step and the rear bumperettes.

No you see it's too much, your venturing into DC100 land again
Would suit that over the top thing but not on a Defender. Keep it simple
I wouldn't want to chop my corner unnecessarily and besides the bumper bit covers some of the lens  especially if the pic was straight, back to the drawing board on that one  They don't go very far out to the side either giving less protection in comparison to say the Safari Equip bumperettes e.g. a nice heavy lump of galv steel  Last edited by Zagato on 18th Mar 2012 1:36pm. Very nice looking, very nice price.
Unless my eyes deceive me some modification of body work is required as the corner capping normally comes down to rear cross member. Also what about fitting of swing away wheel carrier. Brendan |

joking aside, they are beautifully engineered bumperettes, yes you do need to modify the bodywork to accomodate them, good point regarding wheel carrier, I expect corr4 have an equally well engineered carrier to compliment it. |
