Finally.... a topic I can bore people to at an Olympic standard
I spend 90% of my working live broking an options market around mostly European strategic oil stocks reserves........ http://uk.reuters.com/article/2012/03/16/u...ogleNewsUK News broke yesterday, market dumped off back off US reserve release. Market then realised that basicallly this a load of political BS aimed at getting clawing Obama some votes back and then rallied off the back of it. How can you have an 'emergency' at some point in the future. Not the point of having 'reserves' Net effect.... Pretty much sweet FA. UK sources today reportedly denying the whole story, which is right as this whole thing could be deemed to be in breach of IEA and EU guidelines, in terms of strategic stocks being there for a genuine supply emergency and not a price management tool. My heart bleeds for those in the US that have to pay such an extortionate amount for their fuel..... Rant over Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

Saw normal Diesel at £1.499 a litre at a service station on the M40 tonight.
Haven't seen it at £1.50 a litre yet, but sadly I think it's only days away... At this rate I will be putting over £100 a week in my truck just to get to work. Sadly, I might have to look at getting another vehicle. There just isn't anything that I could replace it with that I want or would respect as much.... Diesel at €1.52 per litre here... Never been so high!
When I bought my first Defender (back in 1999) 1 litre of diesel used to cost 0.50€ !!! When I first started buying petrol you could get better than 5 gallons for a quid.
3 shillings and 9 pence from the local Jet station. |

Just ask yourselves if you need to drive your Defender to work, or want to? Fair enough if you need it, but if you are just transporting your body there are many cheaper alternatives leaving you more money to spend on yourself 2005 TD5 90 Hard Top
