Front Swivel Seals
Took the 110 in for its 1st service yesterday at Land Rover Hereford - can't fault them.

I noticed on the bottom of the visual health check sheet (all ticks in the green box!) there was a note from the technician which said: "both front swivel seals damp, but units are not dripping / leaking. Seals washed clean".

I'm not mechanically techy but I know what these are.

Is this a common failure area or something I need to keep a check on?

Keep checking the driveway over for oil drips whenever I pullout but nothing so far Very Happy *touch wood*

Swivels take one shot grease not oil - so wont drip anyway.

They'll start leaking if the preload on the swivel bearings is too loose, or the axle tube seals go allowing oil into the swivels and diluting the grease Thumbs Up
