Either way without causing arguing I still thinks it's a bit un-fair. And just accept that I'm in the wrong again and leave it at that. Thanks for your reply's all of you. Thumbs Up

Sorry, but I don't agree with you at all. If you won something on ebay would you want to pay more than you had bid for it?

I just don't get why you would even ask the question? John

Nor do I. Saying "optional" does not make it any better. It's not acceptable. It's like going into a shop and seeing a cut price item, taking it to the till and the girl saying "well I know it's 3 quid, but if you'd like to give us a couple of pounds more that would be great, but it's optional". You'd say "WTF?"

I wouldn't say that at all. Nor would you only on an on-line forum. Typical of this world you make one single mistake and your an absolutely terrible person. Nor do you ever hear the last of it. That's all I have to say if I'm wrong fair enough then but that doesn't make me a bad person far from it. If I was that bad I would have been the type to have the money and never even send the item. I even thanked the chap for the payment he did make. funniest part is his address (which I obviously won't disclose is quite local) Never mind that's life. Put it this way I won't be saying anything through ebay again. Good nor bad as frankly it makes no difference. R-D I doubt your opinion is different to anyone else's just because your a Scot everyone is finding it tough right now sadly Sad Anyhow I'll learn by my mistakes Thumbs Up Everyone has to start somewhere just like driving fr example.

No one said you were a bad person, don't over-dramatise it. You just can't do what you did. it's unreasonable, no matter what the intention. I certainly wouldnt call it an attempt to extort money, that's ridiculous for the guy to say that, however a contract is a contract and you can't say "come on mate if you feel like it a few more quid wouldnt go amiss".

I agree. I should have read into the detail a bit more. but as I'm sure you'll agree there is so much with so many different web sites now it's hard to keep up. Like you say's I won't go on about it any more but it seems a bit of an extreme reaction. All in all my first experience with selling on Ebay I have been quite pleased with other than this.
