I am now on my second gear box and have only 3 months to go before the end of my warrenty.
21000 miles on the clock and hardly been off road and has not been thrashed or towed any thing. I am thinking of complaining to landrover as I am loosing trust in Eric and feel miffed that I will need to take out a futher warrenty at vast expence. Has anybody else got a result from Landrover like a year free warrenty? Thanks |

Wish it was "Eric" Morecambe - comic genius!
sorry p.s. if LR have really been useless up to now, why take out an extended warranty so they can be useless even longer? Better just find a decent mechanic (e.g. Ashcroft gearboxes are very friendly and seem to have a very good reputation). Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

my first puma was a nightmare. After 18 month of hell I wrote to the top along with every letter I wrote to customer care (that was ignored) and a diary of faults, dealer visits and breakdowns. With in 24hrs of sending the letter I had Gaydon on the phone and three months after that I had a new 110 though I did have to make a token payment towards it.

Have issues with the security system due to theft of bonnet and seats.
Took it up with Land Rover and they said that they were going to fix the security system. Shortly after that they made the decision not to fix the problem due to costs involved, but they did not have the common decency to tell me about it. I did not find out till 6 months later. So in my eyes they are all just a bunch of time wasting dishonourable ds. Spent a lot of money on solicitors to try and get the case into court, but they are only interested ambulance chasing and PPI claims, despite having all the evidence including and engineers / professional witness report that says that the vehicle does not comply with the sale of goods act. So in the end I have purchased some 20 + land rover defender domain names and several dealer related domain names and I am in the process of putting the case files and the engineers report on the web. |

Warranty it or get shot of it!
LR just gave me a good will gesture of £500 for the agro i'm having. ( The rate in which its eating Diffs I may be able to give up work!!!!) I think the warrenty is around the £800 for 12 mths may be wrong though. phone LR customer service and tell them how happy you are that its needed two gear boxes and you feel they should extend the warranty for 12 months FOC. You dont know until you ask. |

Lucky you don't live in the UAE, Land Rover ME said ''if you don't like it buy a different car!'' Oh and LR UK said it wasn't their problem because i live in the Middle East. What a bunch of c***s!

We are still having problems with "Percy" Defender 90. Rough running, going into limp mode, smoke from the exaust. I have just about lost count of the times land rover assist has come to collect the vehicle. We bought it from Land rover in Exeter last year with 7000 miles on the clock, its never been off roaded apart from our farm track when we go to Portugal. Now got 14000 on the clock.
I'm down in Ghana on a contract for another week and guess what.......my wife phoned me on friday and landrover assist have just dragged it from her parents in to Stratstone in Newport as its gone wrong. Again. Arghhhhhhh!!!!!!! Who is the man at the top I need to write to. Land Rover customer care are useless. And our warranty runs out in June. I am totally fed up . Please help!!! |
