Any ideas?
Hi guys, I'm off up to the Cairngorms for work for a month. The 24k service is due and I intend to get it done up there.

While doing my pre flight checks I noticed the following:

Any ideas?

Looks like an oil leak?

If you are looking for a good Indi garage almost en route, you could do a lot worse than Andy White:

Also Macrae & Dick in Inverness seem good for a main dealer...

I can't really tell from the photos, but the leak looks very tiny, and unlikely to represent any significant oil loss. Is it coming from the filler? Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Thanks Martin! leak is around inlet manifold and the oil filler aperture.

Warranty issues are mounting!

No, there's no emulsion. Head gasket is fine.

I think the oil is blowing across from the inlet manifold leak.

I suspect it's a minor issue and will get her in for a service ASAP.

I had the same problem, ended up getting the inlet manifold and something else (can't remember what Embarassed ) changed under warranty.

Haven't seen new traces of oil since.

Well it's in, apparently they have never heard of them depositing fuel all over the forecourt after brimming *sigh*

An inlet manifold gasket has been ordered, in the meantime I get to enjoy the frugality of a Peugeot 206 lol Laughing Embarassed
