Just wanted to open a thread for my new 110. It replaces a Disco3 (TDV6 HSE G4 orange beauty) and has been bought because I like them, the D3 was starting to get expensive, I can reclaim VAT back on the 110, expenses go through the business too.
It is a 2012 MY 2.2 in Santorini Black with standard tow pack and nothing else. It has the massive leaps forward ( ) that came with the 2012MY including 200cc less engine, holes in the external rear door handle (to signify a lock change for some euro rules or some blx), a bit of plastic to hold the fuel filler cap when you undo it, alarm battery back up, different stitch pattern on part leather seats with the stitch lines on the seat back and cushion being slightly further apart, EU5 compliance, Diesel Particulate Filter (stand by for warranty claims.....) and 90mph speed limiter rather than 82. And that's it. Obligatory pictures below. Hey, that's my car!
I am due to pick mine up next Thursday after being without a Defender since the end of last summer. Mine is exactly the same spec but with the addition of a rear step and the underbody protection bar. Can't wait. Looking forward to having one again. DMAKX |

To show it has the new lock type that is compliant with new N1 classification lock rules from Europe.
I know, that makes the jokey "weight saving" seem the sensible option..... I, like you, used to have a Disco3 as a company car but was getting robbed every month by the tax man. After having an Audi inbetween I missed having a Landy and I changed to a 90 but found it impractical for the two kids plus dog. It was also a bit on the bumpy side with the short wheelbase.
Had a demo out for a few days and much improved ride on the 110 and quite impressed with the new engine too. Probably won't have as big a wish list as you but I am sure there will be a few mods over time. DMAKX |

Nice machine! They do look nice in black. LPR had a very similar one in last time I was there. The 90mph limit thing is a bit of a joke, I had my 2.4 on the limiter at 82 in France (I think) and it was awful, the engine was screaming, the whole car was not happy at all - I dread to think how one would be at 90!!!
