There will be plenty for you to look at when it comes back, to check they've done what they said they would.
Iv'e got a copy of the service checklist if you haven't, let me know if you want a copy mailing? Cheers |

Fingers crossed then.
Mine went in for its 12k service yesterday. £340 which was better than expected and got a full valet inside and out. They said that LR have advised them to check the clutches so they want it back in for a couple of days to check that out. |

Don't forget to make sure they fill in the annual corrosion inspection part of the service portfolio. We have a guy over here who is currently arguing with Landrover Australia over some rot they need to fix under warranty and they are disputing it because his service log is incomplete
Alas we are in the middle of a drought so the dealers have suspended their valet service - remains to be seen if it ever comes back once water restrictions are lifted. 2007 Defender 110 1970 Alfa Romeo 1750GTV |

Can you say any more on what LR said when they said they have been told to check the clutches? Thanks Rich |

They said that they thought there was a slight vibration when they drove it (didn't notice much myself) and that they had spoken to Landrover who advised of a 'known possible problem' so they want to take it back in and have the clutch out.
I'll get more details but it was a very brief phone call on Monday. The sales person was crap - but the service department are excellent. |

Cheers mate, I'm like you Ive never noticed any clutch vibration but Land Rover probably want to sort it before it escalates into something much more costly, gearbox etc. Keep us updated, cheers Rich |

WOW Its come back a completely different vehicle. It goes like fook and the first thing I noticed was my right foot was not pushed down as far as I normally have to push it. Just rang the dealer J V Like and asked them what they did. 'Just serviced it' came the reply .

Changed the filter twice whilst out there and fitted a new one as we left the dirt roads and got onto the tarmac roads for home. |

Update - They fitted a new clutch this week (chap on the desk said it was 'replacement recommended by Landrover' but didn't seem to know if it was a different type) and it is much smoother and quieter so I guess they picked up on something I hadn't. My assumption is that some of the early clutches did have a spring problem or similar and that the advice is to change them for a later type if anything is suspected. |
