Wastegate rod length
Hi,

Could somebody please measure the length of the wastegate rod (or count the number of threads showing) on a P15 EU3 TD5 turbo charger that hasnt been adjusted please. I think mine is a little short, although its not over boosting to make the ecu shut it down i know the boost is higher than its supposed to be, so would just like the normal length to check what mine is, as i know its been adjusted at some point.

Many thanks

Pete.

13 threads IIRC.

Usually you will expect up to 220/225kpa at the manifold.

Ok thanks for that. I cant really go by the pressure as it has been remapped and a bigger intercooler fitted. It had the wastegate rod shortened before it was mapped and cooled so want to turn back the boost a bit as the cooler and the map has increased it even more. The reason for the mapping and intercooler was more for economy than power so just wanting to see what it does if i turn it back to the factory setting.

Many thanks

Pete.
