I got it!!! Here she is
I went to the showroom to pick her up with a mate and we set to checking her all over. Once I had some evidence to call Germany with-- it broke my heart as I told the dealer I was saying no on the grounds of the new colour unless he compensated me- Just as I thought I would be saying goodbye to her, he broke and offered £1,000 refund Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Making the whole cost to myself Just over £19,000. I will stop typing now and show you my darling:

At the dealership

Once I had done the 277mile drive home

5 mins later Very Happy

I hope you enjoy and I will get some more pictures tomorow in the sunshine Very Happy

Glyn

277 miles and the needle still sits over 1/4 tank- My V8 with a bigger tank would have needed filling up 50 miles ago!!!!

Fair play that looks excellent - the wheels and tyres set it off brilliantly. Peter

Cheers for the coments chaps. She is all perfect Very Happy. Colour looks much better in real life too. The only problem I had was towards the end of the 277 mile straight journey I was getting a little back ache. But I have a 700 mile journey to push out tonight/ tomorow so might have more feedback on that soon- maybe th seats just need wearing in a little.

Leg room isn't a problem for me- I have short legs (hence why a few of my mates call me monkey boy), to me it was more like I was sitting on the seats rather than in them (if that makes sense).

Nice looking Defender. I opted for the 90.

Could you tell me, did you get 2 remote key fobs?
Is there a dummy cigar ligher in the cigar lighter socket?
Were you supplied the EKA code & the radio code?

Did you get a security card with the above written on it?

I got none of the above. I found the radio code & serial number details on a card that had been left in the battery compartment.

cheers,
n.
