... they all lost their jobs because we "just switched off our television sets and went and did something less boring instead" Such a brilliant program - can't believe I still remember that Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

You can buy a DVD of both series of the Double Deckers from Amazon. I did last year as I thought the kids would like it and I was right. They love it - possibly because its like a different universe (it was filmed over 40 years ago) Sadly the chap who played Doughnut (centre of picture) died last year and the studio where it was filmed in Elstree is now a Tesco! |

Lucky charms! They are Ricicles but used to have cheap marshmallow stuff in them that turned the milk rainbow coloured. I miss them from my childhood in Northern Ireland ===================================

Re the pony tail girl in the Double Deckers
yes I did too. Gillian Bailley (who played 'Billie' in the series - the one we all fancied) is now well into her 50s, has a Doctorate in theatre studies and teaches at the Royal Holloway college in Egham, Surrey(near Runneymeade where the Magna Carta was signed) How's that for anorak |
