Landrover / general workshop recommendation London
Dear all,

With my 110 awaiting me at the end of this month I have started collecting my "todo" list on additions and improvements. Whereas back home I have my workplace and tools, I however lack any space or equipment to work here in the UK. Makes it a bit hard to do "neat" work, so thought it might be better to have someone help me out, I don't mind paying for it.

However, I do want stuff done properly. To that end I am looking for a reliable workshop somewhere in the London area. Someone that can add lights (maybe swap for LED lighting allround), fit a 2nd battery system, mudflap brackets, steering guards, etc.

Any recommendations from the wise forum elderly? Or do I need to travel up North for proper service?

Rgds,

CD

Where in London are you talking about? I use a garage in Harrow, north London, who is very good but there are thousands of small garage/workshops around.

Thanks for the tips, keep them coming! I am located more South West, but I have noticed a lot of shop up North and East, unfortunately.

Anyone familiar with Les Pauls or AJD Landrovers? Gigglepin or Foley are actually not too bad, but still a 1 hour drive. Maybe I will just save up on work to be done and drop it off for a week.

Thanks, but actually too far West, I live quite central. I will confess - I live within Zone 1 and drive a Defender...

Hi,

We live in Zone 2 and got our USW in November Very Happy . I have used AJD, but only for some wheels and tyres. Came away quite impressed but have not used them for other work.

We are in exactly the same dilemma - let me know how you get on.

Best wishes,

Foley's must be closer than AJD ? And are VERY well rated.

Minimal difference, but 4 miles further according to Google Maps. Doesn't matter, that is not a differentiator.
