Sorry to here that they ****** up the colour, this is what I have come to expect from LR and their stealers ! Galway is VERY green compared to Tonga and was not my first choice but was available when I wanted the vehicle. I must admit, the longer I have had my, soon to be replaced, vehicle the more I like the colour and it has drawn quite a few comments. Depending on the weather the colour does change. This is important as when the sun is not shining you can't see the bits that have not been sprayed properly - they only become visible when the sun is out and they are then very noticable ! I am sure Phil Popham (MD of LR) will be very ?? happy to here of your problem, especially as he (or his) office authorised my exchange after I wrote to him. Same vehicle, same colour but hopefully different problems ! If writing directly to LR, Phil Popham, it might be worth copying in the person in the executive office who is looking after my exchange - Ilka Joetten-Ball (Ms or Mrs I am not sure). I have spoken to her on the phone and she is helpful. Good luck ! Bob |

My original vehicle and the replacement both need sorting in the cleaning area ! Both of them are covered in buffer trails, I thought it was done at the dealers but apparently that is how they arrive from the factory. Obviously the last thing done to them before delivery is a monkey, who does not know how to use a polisher, is let loose with a buffer and destroys the finish. Thinking about it, that is not fair on monkeys, they would probably do a better job ! The actual problem is not flat paint, it is the white undercoat showing through. When it is cloudy you can only just see it but when the sun is out the panels are a mix of white and green ! The vehicle being replaced had at least half a dozen areas resprayed but, luckily, the replacement only needed the tailgate and the thin panel underneath respraying. Bob |
