Does anyone know for sure, if a Land Rover Series ( II or III) 109 Crew Cab ( DOuble cab) ever left the production line, in that form, originally ?
I've seen a few but wanted to know if this was an original spec that could be ordered ? No. Certainly not as a production model anyway. There are quite a few home-builds around though, as it's largely a nut and bolt job. Darren

I would disagree,
I have seen a few, the last one I saw was al the LR orphanage. I seem to remember it was an LR Special Build. 2002 Defender 110 DC |

The one the orphanage had was not a factory job, but a very good private conversion. The factory did not offer them, and there was not much demand for them anyway. The double-cab is a very modern thing. The first one Landrover ever made was definitely a 110, in fact I think it was a proper Defender too, so no earlier than the early 1990s. It was several years before they became a factory model though. 2011 110 USW

There was a factory built one on an early 200 but almost certainly a one off (James Taylor has details)
Series wise the Rumsey brothers have a 2a that looks like it may have been a factory built double cab, very very high standard if not |
