2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Santorini Black

Ronseal No Rust Metal Paint on Chequered Plates (EDIT)

Can i use this stuff to paint the Chequered plates on my tubular steps ?

Anyone got any info on procedure/prep when doing this ?

Mike, when I did my bars I just used a basic spray enamel. Cleaned the surface with a stiff brush and just masked the edges of the bars. Quick spray and job done. What ever paint you use on the step is not going to last so when it starts to wear a bit just top it up again. I think, even if you took to plate off and had it powder coated it will still come off due to the abrasion of feet getting in and out.

Hammerite do an 'all metals primer'...it's pink! then just brush smooth hammerite on top

drill off the rivets and have them powdercoated mate paint want last no matter what not on steps it want

First Four Off-road. They come galvanised, but I'd prefer them in blacK, so it's out with the paint brush. Darren
