2005 Defender 90 Td5 XS CSW Bonatti Grey
ARB Bull Bar Bumper
Looking to get an ARB bumper with the bullbar for my 2005 TD5 Defender, I understand there is a air con and non-air con version and that they are pretty expensive and illegal to fit to a later model than mine, but I can't find anywhere selling them.

Still appear on ebay from time to time but that is a little ad-hoc for me.

Any recommendations? Or have they stopped making them entirely - if so can anyone recommend an alternative?

This lot do a copy for a lot less than what a second-hand ARB would cost you:

Can't comment on quality etc as I've not bought one.

In terms of legality.... can, worms, open. To be honest I don't care, we're all grown-ups and if you wanted to fit a flamethrower to your Defender that's fine by me... as long as you live with the risk of being caught.

Thumbs Up

I have one on the Puma, good quality gear. Had them on the D2 Td5 and V8 as well. On the TD5 sent a dozen or more big Roo's to the promised land. Get what you pay for in this instance. Thumbs Up

I've been into Douglas motors and seen one of their copies in the flesh, it looks good but not sure on how strong it is compared to a ARB. Russell

Stoo send me a PM stating what vehicle air con or not etc. It is possible that I might have a source for you.

Genuine ARB. Please note that these items are big and heavy so transportation costs not cheap!

Please note that if you have a winch fitted it is a winch mounting system and AFAIK completely legal. Remove winch and it becomes illegal.

Who said the law is an ass?

We have equipment on our vehicles which is perfectly legal. Put them on a different taxation class or different age vehicle and the same items become illegal Banging Head Banging Head Banging Head

Thanks for the replies.

I'm not sure of the legalities, but I thought I was ok on an older TD5 model? Anyway, that isn't what this is really about.

I've seen the Douglass Motors ones, but they look like the aircon one sticks out miles, and the non aircon one fits so closely against the wings that my light guards wouldn't fit. Any thoughts or anyone have any better pictures than the ones on their website?
