Haven't spoken to them, pick up tomorrow Very Happy They noted the faint whining noise, will see if they found anything but we agreed it's probably to faint to try and detect, he thinks it's probably rear diff not gearbox as noise is coming from rear, and was going to do checks anyway.

I commended them on their service and they proudly pointed out they were ranked in the top ten of over 100 dealers Thumbs Up Think he said number seven, still marked the air filter though to see if it has been changed Whistle

Stuck my new bumperettes on this afternoon, what a pita it is getting fixings into the rear x member Rolling Eyes ended up shoving bolts from the inside facing out. To overcome the torx heads that keep the rear tub fixed I spaced the outer bracket out wih a nut then fixed the bumperette. Doing this stopped the forward facing "wing" from being tight to the rear quarter panel and you have to look damn close to see anything untoward. They look good and purposefull but it really juat highlights the fact that I need to rust treat and repaint the x member Rolling Eyes

I did start off trying to find my intermittent starting problem, 3 out of 5 times all I get is a solonoid click when I turn the key. I've redone the engine earth, cleaned up the terminals on the starter motor, fiddled, faffed amd swopped the relay under the fuse panel. Just when you think it's sorted the damn thing plays up again. Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and out the starter motor.

A bit obvious but did you check you have clean and tight connectors and connection at the battery? I have seen the connector on the cable work loose before mainly on the starter motor end BM52

Ooooo hernia ops, I've had two of them, not compatible with a defender. Easy chair, tv, if you try to do too much in first week then you will suffer in 2nd and 3rd week.
Make the most of being waited on by family?

Got all luvved up with my Landy after her first service, spent the day cleaning what was already clean and polished what was already polished Rolling Eyes Well she had her first night outside at the dealers so needed a bit of TLC Shocked

Did a round of ACF-50 on everything AGAIN Rolling Eyes and touched up the Dinitrol underneath. Touched in a couple of stone chips and Zagged the interior then put her back in the garage Very Happy

It's raining tomorrow so the Series is back in action Whistle

I remember people on here telling me not to sell my Jag XK120 replica for a Defender but I have absolutely no regrets, haven't thought about the Jag because my Defender is just GREAT and mine for life Very Happy Thumbs Up

No regrets

Hello baby Very Happy
