The picture showing the campsite with the recycle bins? Yep, that's the national park campsite at Sossusvlei. IMO not worth it - rather camp at the Oasis Campsite across the road: http://www.getaway.co.za/directories/sossus-oasis-campsite.html -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

I'll keep an eye out for your Defender while I'm over there. Going to do some exploring on a BMW GS1200

Thanks boet! If only it went as well as it looked Just got to 29,000km and needs a new rear diff. Gearbox clunks so badly that people in cars next to me jump in fright when I change gears. Flat spot in 6th that stealers 'cannot detect'. If you're ever in Stellenbosch/Gordon's Bay gimme a shout, we'll go for a beer! -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

Apologies for the late response, things have been a bit busy around here lately. I also have a little clunk sound but afaik its when the drive shaft re-engages. It took me like 500km of city driving to master smoother gear changes. Fortunately I did not ruin anything That flat spot in 6th sounds like the problem most Puma's have. According to my Indie (best Indie in the world!) It should occur at lower altitudes specifically, and apparently the standard inter cooler is a bit small for these vans. An upgrade sorts this problem and a engine remap is also recommended. You will have, more torque, more power and better fuel consumption as an added effect Mine will be going in soon And I will def ring you up when I'm down there again, thinking this time I should drive there |

I've got a BAS remap already. Maybe I should look into getting a bigger intercooler then - I hear Turbochip supplied ones for the Puma. Someone on the ZA-LRO mailing list got one and says it's great quality -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

I don't know where to get a better Inter cooler, I just dealt with the guys from Landyworx (JHB) as I saw they did a SVX 110 and the results where very impressive. As for the Remap, I know that Land rover SA sends vehicles to Eurospeed (Elton, JHB) and I have only heard great things |

Eurospeed/Turbochip are the same. Elton comes very highly recommended by other landy drivers, for remaps and bigger/high quality intercoolers! -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |
