hmm, I know this one has come up before. One would think that there must be a dog/cog with so many teeth which engages allowing the back rest movement but wonder if anyone has opened up the seat mechanism to see if it is possible to file/grind another notch or two. If in fact this is how it works. Obviously there may be potential issues to avoid weakening the seat in the event of an accident.. blah blah

How old are your kids, Kraut? Mine are still both using full height child seats and when needed i put something behind the seat at the base to push the base forward, meaning that the back rest leans more.
If they're out of child seats, have you tried slamming the brakes on and inviting them to walk alone to the destination/home? |

I think I remember reading somewhere that Foley Landrover did a mod to increase the angle/rake of the back seats. (or centre seats should I say.) Cost about £400+vat I think.

My parents tried that with me and 'bro' when I was a kid, they didn't bargain on us hopping over a hedge and legging it (for a laugh), took them ages to 'find' us. Didn't try that one again, though I had my comics confiscated. In LRO a couple of months ago they wrote about an overland prepped puma, one of the jobs they did was cut holes in the floor and created recess's for the back feet of the seat to sit in and inprove the back rest angle, if I find the mag tomorrow I'll try and get some pics scaned and pm them,
it was only a couple of inches but they said it made a real difference. mark |

Cause there seems to be no easy selffitting solution I'll probably have to plan my next vacation in Britain to get it solved
Thanks to all for the feedback. Kraut |
