Great fish restaurant on Quay. Can't remember name but near a bar with a hot tub outside called Driv Great place, our stay was far too brief. Good luck with the northern lights. Still only seen them from Somerset many years ago.
Havea mate who works at The Wilderness Centre as a dog sled guide, looks amazing if you like that sort of thing. Roald Amundsen statue is very impressive along with Artic Cathedral. |

We were only there 6 hours while waiting for a flight to go further north, so sorry can't help you on that one.
We went in Early March and it snowed for five days!! So missed all light shows, must go again very soon. The drive from airport into town is truely amazing. Will try and get some hotel recommendation from my mate but he usually stays at the wilderness centre then wild camps with the dogs. Mark |

My Partner went last year to photograph the northern lights and said -
If you're looking for night life - wait till late (very late!) as no one goes out till then ! Good luck with the northern lights - a DSLR on a tripod with a long exposure is likely to capture them better than your naked eye...and to go on one of the trips to see them where there is no stray light... good luck and enjoy Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 |

You can see the Northern lights for free .
Join the Army and get sent to Canada on Exercise. And then you can sit there all night and watch them. 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |
