@scallops, thanks for the suggestions, I've not taken mine to the mechanics yet...
the issue does not appear to that bad. it really looks like engine oil, as far as i can tell, but the oil level (or any other fluids) is not dropping, so i think its not loosing much. (this also explains, why i never find any fluid on the ground - its just seeping)
result, is I'm waiting for when i next service, and am building up a list of things for them to check/fix...
also I'm working on the principle if it is the seal, i will do as suggested here and get them to resolve at the same time as replacing clutch (though the clutch seems fine) ... they might also be able to check out by Tbox fully as same time, as this is acting up a bit.
to be honest, I'm not sure what to look for, with this nipple on the prop shaft, but i will bare it in mind when it goes in.
be assured, when i do get take it in, i will post back here, with the results so others can potentially benefit - as i very much appreciate the support from you guys, and would like to give back something potentially useful.

James, the slave is inside the bellhousing.... its a gearbox out job NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ANYWAY
